Scott Bata has always had an affinity for the game of golf, and is someone who rarely misses the opportunity to play a round or break in a new course. It is this love of the game that led him to his past professional involvement with Danville’s Chamberlyne Country Club, not only as a volunteer instructor between 2003 and 2005, but also as both a customer service professional and Assistant Manager of the Club’s Golf Shop.
Scott Bata began working for the Chamberlyne Country Club in April of 2000, serving the club in the field of customer service at various points until December of 2005. Between 2003 and 2005, Bata spent two weeks out of every summer volunteering his time as an Instructor for the Club’s youth golf clinic, working to teach young and aspiring players throughout the area the finer points of the game. Bata was happy to help local youths develop a stronger understanding and passion for the game of golf, and to build the foundation of skill and technique they needed to pursue their love of the game in more depth well into the future.
Scott Bata accepted the position of Assistant Golf Shop Manager at the club in April of 2007, providing leadership and management to a team of five golf shop and cart employees while maintaining both the inventory and stockage levels. He was also responsible for the shop’s Point of Sale and Point of Sale Management Systems, and worked hard to plan and coordinate numerous tournaments, outings and events during his tenure.
